About Us
The Terhune House is a family home, a demonstration site and a rural town (Urban) homestead. The house was built in the 1880s and is a Midwest Italinate which has had most of it’s charm ripped out of her over the years. Join us as we attempt to restore that charm, develop an urban garden and orchard and convert a leaky old house into one that is energy efficient.
